I have not posted in a while because last week we were gone on a mission trip. Jeremy and I went to the Rio Grande Valley with 9 others from our church. Let me say that we had a great trip. It was super hot...mostly over 100F and my feet were swollen most of the trip, but we had a good time. We had work projects during the day and we hosted a VBS at Rangerville Baptist Church in the evening. We started out with 39 kids the first day and ended up with about 60 kids at one point. For the most part, they were good kids. My main job was being in charge of crafts...sometimes they were too much for me so I had to raise my voice which shocked those that came from our church because I am so soft spoken most of the time. For the record, I enjoy being soft spoken.
I tried my best not to play the "pregnancy card" while gone because I didn't want others to think Jeremy was playing favorites...but one evening I had too because I totally misplaced a bag of sequins. CRAZY!!! Of all the scenarios to play the "pregnancy card", this is the one I choose. Other than that I was good the rest of the week.
The last day of VBS I believe we had 4 decisions from kids!!! It is so exciting to see kids excited about the Word and what He has to say. Even if we didn't have any decisions, it would have been a successfull mission trip because 60 kids heard about Jesus Christ!!! I enjoy mission trips even though there is a lot of work involved and stress that builds up, so I will be sad next year when Jeremy goes it alone because I will be home with our baby.
