So, today is Friday!!!! Last night "the office" was a rerun, so jeremy and I did not watch it. We watched "the other bolyn girl" I really enjoyed it. It is about ann bolyn and her sister mary and the relationships they both had with King Henry of England. You know Ann is the one who was beheaded...overall, I like it.
Yesterday, Jeremy and I took some of our senior adults to the bible history museum at Houston Baptist University. It was really interesting and historical. I cannot imagine living in the 1800s where it was illegal to read the Bible or even to know the Scriptures and if caught then to be burned or just killed. It makes me realize the opportunity we have and that we shouldn't take it for granted. I think everyone should go and tour this museum...I know that isn't a great description but I am a little distracted this morning because there is probably half a dozen men on my roof which takes me to my main point today...
Our roof was damaged in Hurricane Ike and we have not taken care of it because Jeremy wanted to wait until after the holidays to where the roofers were not so busy and the prices were cheaper. and of course, my smart jeremy was right about that. so today, february 20 at about 8:30 the roofers arrived and have started tearing apart our roof. it is a bit loud but the worst part of it is that chewy doesn't like it. He has now settled down a bit but I just know that he will be a mess as long as they are here. Foster on the other hand has no idea what to think. He barks if chewy barks, but otherwise he is sitting next to me with a puzzled look on his face. His face is quite cute. As long as the roofers are here, chewy will not be able to go outside and he won't be able to run around the house, so he must stay in our bedroom. It is just annoying to me and i feel bad for him but I know the roofers will be afraid of him and he really doesn't mean any harm. But the main point of all of this is that we are finally getting out new roof with some upgrades so hopefully we will not have any damage come next hurricane season.
Oh...I did get all of my valentine cookies baked, glazed, decorated and sent away. They looked really great this year. Next week, I am doing a brides cake and grooms cake so maybe I will learn to post pictures. Have a great day and weekend!!!
