It's Been Awhile...

So it has been awhile since I have posted but in my defense I have been busy getting ready for our baby. The most notable thing that has happened is my first baby shower. It was last Saturday and we got so much stuff. So many clothes that Asher will have to be changed several times a day in order to wear everything, but we are super thankful and blessed to have the support that we do. My parents were in town for the weekend and they helped out so much...my dad cleaned the carpet and hung up some shelving and my mom and ashley organized everything we got. I am so thankful for that because I was exhausted after the shower. My mom bought Asher a little chef jacket...it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I have it hanging in the dining room at the moment and it brings me so much joy everytime I pass by. The church is throwing us a shower this Sunday evening. So next week I will spend a little time each day organizing and finding a place for everything.

Another one of my favorite things from the shower is seeing all of my high school friends except one. Laura, Kari, Becca,(lives in the Houston area) and Alicia (lives in Pflugerville) came to the shower and Kathy lives in Minneapolis so that is, of course, excused. I am so thankful for these ladies. They were all friends growing up and I joined the group our freshmen year of high school. We have all started our own lives, but through the beauty of blogs and facebook, we can keep in touch. These ladies are amazing...I haven't seen them in probably over a year but we just picked back up where we left off. Those are good friends.

Everything seems to be going as planned on the baby front. I was suppose to see the doctor yesterday, but she got held up at the hospital with deliveries so since I haven't had any complications I made an appointment to go back in two weeks. Hopefully I will be able to see her then. I am going now every two weeks and it won't be long before I am going every week. It is amazing to me that we are about to have a baby!!! Things are coming together but I keep wondering if I am forgeting about something important. I am starting to feel large and am tired most of the time. I am nervous about the actual delivery so I just read about and it kind of calms my nerves but only for a little bit.
