Leaving on a Jet Plane

Jeremy and I left for our Bahamas trip early Thursday morning...like 4 am early...to drive to Houston to catch our plane. We left Asher at home with Nana (Jeremy's mom) and a list of instructions!! Our travel plans consisted of flying from Houston to Ft. Lauderdale to Nassau, Bahamas. I was super excited, so excited that I may have skipped through airport on our way to security!! Excited for my sister who was getting married but also excited to go the Bahamas!!! Our travel to Ft. Lauderdale was no big deal but once we boarded our plane to the Bahamas is where it got interesting. There were 19 passengers and 2 crew members on the plane to Nassau...talk about tiny...but we made it to the Bahamas in 45 minutes so I wasn't complaining. We flew over the water and it was amazing to watch the water turn to green/blue and then to royal blue and to see islands in the middle of the ocean.
When we got to the resort it was wonderful...sparkling pools, blue skies, and warm sunshine!! We checked in and Jeremy and I were "complimentary upgraded" to a better room. As we walked through the halls, every employee would stop what they were doing and greet you. I know that they are getting paid but they acted as if they were genuinely glad we were there. I was genuinely glad we were there too!! After getting settled, we changed and met up with my family to swim in the ocean. The Sandals resort is an all-inclusive resort so when you are done eating you don't have to wait for the check you just get up and leave. This was weird at first but we quickly adjusted to it.

After dinner we ended our first day with an episode of The Office and went to bed since we had been up before the sun was up...
