Growing Pains

I am having growing pains...figurative growing pains. I think at 27 I am done growing, but it hurts me to see my little boy growing up. I mean he is only 4 months old, but he is eating fruit, he gets cereal in his bottle and he weighs 17 pounds. (he was never small to start with) I have been looking at pictures we have of him when he was born and I don't remember that baby. The first four months of his life have already gone by too quickly. He is no longer a newborn...

Newborn...skinny legs and that onesie was actually big

4 months...

The other day I came up with this great idea...for christmas each year I will create for him a book of that particular year of his life using pictures and captions (snapfish book). I was telling Jeremy about my idea and I mentioned that he can take them when he gets married...and I started to get a little choked. The idea of my little boy getting married...OH MY!!!! Jeremy of course laughed at me and said we have plenty of time, but I disagree. I never thought I would be like this...so sentimental about four months or the months to come. I now understand the importance of recording things that happen and pictures. I cherish the pictures we have of Asher and one day he will cherish the pictures of his children. OH NO...i am talking about grandchildren...i must stop and get back to my 4 month old baby!!!!

  1. Yes, they grow up quickly. I look at Kaylyn, still remembering those first days when she was so tiny. It is hard to believe 9 years have passed.
Savor each stage with your "little" one :) for they are great in their own ways.
It's ok to get choked up, you're a mom who loves her boy!
    Have a good week!
